Redefining ARRT Physics and Imaging
Camille Allred, MSRS, R.T.(R)(CI)(ARRT) is the owner and operator of Focused on Photons. She has a Master of Science in Radiologic Science from Midwestern State University in Texas and is registered with the ARRT in both radiography (R) and cardiac interventional radiography (CI). Throughout her career as a technologist, she's worked with students in the clinical setting, fostering both clinical skills and confidence in their abilities to thrive in the clinical environment.
Her career began at JPS Health Network in Fort Worth where she gained extensive experience in trauma, orthopedic, fluoroscopy, and outpatient general imaging. She was selected to create the state compliant imaging quality control protocols and implement them at the main hospital along with 9 satellite clinic sites.
She is genuinely passionate about developing technologists during their schooling and registry process. She tutors all aspects of radiologic technology from basic courses to registry review and remediation, anatomy, biology, medical terminology, and other skills necessary to function in an allied health or STEM field. She has a passion for both radiation biology and image quality assessment including equipment function and structure and clinical image quality assessment.
She's experienced in working with students from varied backgrounds and has a deep understanding for the necessity to adapt the material and teaching method to each student based on their learning needs and has worked extensively with students diagnosed with dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, and ADHD.

When Camille isn't working with students, she's a bee keeper, part-time gardener, full time cat mom, self-defense enthusiast, and accidental comedian.
